WEST WINDSOR – Friday night, the bridge crossing over the Northeast Corridor train tracks on Route 571 will be closed to traffic, due to repaving. Between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, Route 64 will be closed while the state Department of Transportation resurfaces the road. Route 64 is the 0.3-mile extension of Route 571 that crosses over the train tracks between Washington Road and the intersection of Cranbury and Wallace roads.
Traffic going towards the Princeton Junction train station or headed for Route 1 via Route 571 will be redirected onto Alexander Road, which runs parallel to Route 571. Signs on Route 1 will advise motorists of the detour as well.
The project began Wednesday and continued Thursday night, also.
