Sam Tartar scored 16 points and Brooks Johnson added 12 as the Sonics topped the Thunder, 36-24, in the Boys 4th/5th Grade Division of the Princeton Recreation Dillon Youth Basketball League on Saturday. Max Shi and Teddy Durbin scored six points apiece to pace the Thunder.
In other games in the division, Elon Tuckman had seven points to lead the Clippers to a 27-7 win over the Spurs. Alex Wey and Max Schoefield added six points apiece in the win, while Noah Middlekauf led the Spurs with three points. The Lakers topped the Mavericks, 24-15, as Matt Piccinni led the way with nine points. Ryan Farrell had seven points and John Itkoff added six for the Mavericks. Jack Ruddy scored 10 points and Nathan Dorini added eight to lead the Blazers to a 26-15 win over the Warriors. Ibrahim LaGrier had six points in the loss. Sam Goldman scored 16 points to lead the Kings to a 24-15 win over the Suns. Tom Doran had seven points in the loss.
In the Boys 6th/7th Grade Division, Chris DeClement scored 10 points, Grant Hoeffner had nine and Joaquin Hernandez-Burt added eight as Pittsburgh topped Connecticut, 41-19. Dylan Warner had eight points in the loss. Alex Ratzan had nine points and Aidan Shue added six as Seton Hall topped St. John’s, 26-11. Tim Frawley led St. John’s with seven points. Villanova topped Rutgers, 34-26, as Colin Taylor led the way with 13 points and Teddy Friedman added seven. Jacob Caddeau led Rutgers with 10 points.
In the Boys 8th/9th Grade Division,Rob Mooney scored 21 points as Princeton Pettoranello Foundation topped Corner House, 43-39.Colin Frawley and Thomas Walker added seven points apiece in the win. Peter Mahotiere had 16 points and Alex Deutsch added 14 for Corner House. Paul Murray scored 19 points and Robert Quinn added 11 as Princeton Dental Group topped Mayflower Cleaners, 42-9. Kevin Quinn had four points in the loss. Jefferson Heating and Plumbing topped SportsMedicine of Princeton, 27-19, as Tommy Kang led the way with 11 points. Louis Capon added six points in the win, while Matt Donahue had six points in the loss.
In the Girls 4th/5th Grade Division, Natasha Patel scored 14 points to lead Princeton Shopping Center to a 22-13 win over Mason, Griffin & Pierson. Samantha Taylor had six points in the loss. Baldino & Brothers topped Woodwinds, 14-10, as Elena Kosten led the way with six points. Colette Marciano had four points to lead Woodwinds. Devon Lis scored 12 points to lead Princeton Youth Sports to a 19-8 win over GR Murray Insurance. Emma Glasser had six points in the loss.
In the Girls 6th-9th Grade Division, American Sew/Vac topped McCaffrey’s, 32-12, as Kennedy Corrado had eight points and Sydney Dubin added six. Annie Walker had six points for McCaffrey’s. Princeton Township PBA #387 topped Iano’s, 20-17, as Sarah Eisenach and Yael Yonah each scored six points. For Iano’s, Celia Gleason, Isabel Trenholm and Emily Costa scored four points apiece.
