The Lawrence Pee Wee Flames ice hockey team dropped a 2-1 nail biter to the Black Hawks, as the lone goal came from Ian Moini off an assist from Kyle DePalma. The defense played a strong game, assisted by Reilly Fletcher’s hustle and back-checking. Calvin McKay made 21 saves in goal.
A day later, the Flames took a 6-1 win over Brick for their first league triumph. Gols were scored by Eli Panter (2), Peyton Truban (2), Pauli Tedechi and DePalma. Assists came from Brian Mark, Moini, John Kiscek and Fletcher. Goalie Mikey Bonavico had 12 saves.
