Carlos E. Espichan, 46, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to exhibit a drivers’ license. At 3:19 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Mulberry Row in Princeton Community Village. Upon arrival, police discovered a driver, later identified as Mr. Espichan, had struck a parked vehicle and left the scene. Police located Mr. Espichan in the area. While speaking to him, police observed the odor of alcohol on his breath. Further investigation found him to be intoxicated, police said. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
Plainsboro
A Plainsboro resident reported his bicycle was stolen sometime between 3 and 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 22 outside West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North. The resident reported his bicycle was unattended and unsecured near the bike rack at the school’s main entrance. He described it as a 21-speed black Schwinn mountain bike, worth about $40. There are currently no suspects or leads.
