No champions from girls hoop tourneys

The West Windsor-Plainsboro High North girls basketball team reached the finals of its own War of the Worlds Tournament before falling to Bishop Ahr, 50-29, in the championship game.
Kerry McNeilly led the Knights in the final with seven points. In the opening round the Knights got past South Hunterdon, 51-44, as Jacquie Klotz led the way with 17 points.
WW-P South dropped a 46-32 decision to Delaware Valley in the opening round of the Hillsborough Tournament, the fell on a last-second shot to Sayreville, 42-40, in the consolation round the next day.
In the loss to Delaware Valley, Gabi Hahn led the Pirates with nine points. Hahn had 10 points and Sharell Lowe added eight against Sayreville.
Princeton Day School opened the Moorestown Classic with a 51-48 loss to Haddonfield. Janie Smukler led the scoring with 20 points, while Tiffany Patterson added 13 in the loss.
The Panthers topped Moorestown, 32-30, in the consolation game. Smukler led the scoring with 18 points, while Patterson added seven points and 11 rebounds.
Princeton High played shorthanded due to injury and dropped a 47-30 decision to Lawrence in the opening round of the Molinelli Tournament at Hopewell. Madison Cahill-Sadinas led the Little Tigers with 11 points in the loss. The Little Tigers lost to Pennington, 60-35, in the consolation game.
Montgomery High split a pair of games at the Vaughn Stapleton Classic at Bridgewater. After opening with a loss to Bridgewater, the Cougars bounced back to defeat Plainfield, 56-34, in the round-robin event. Bridget O’Donnell led the scoring for the Cougars with 16 points, while Kelsey Manock added 12 points.
