January is for the dogs (licensing)

January is dog license renewal month for Lawrence Township residents. Any dog over the age of seven months is required by law to be licensed.
According to New Jersey Law, in order to obtain your dog’s license, their rabies immunizations must be valid for the entire licensing year. Should your dog’s rabies certificate expire anytime between January 2011 and Oct. 31, 2011 you will be required to revaccinate your dog prior to obtaining their 2011 dog license.
The Lawrence Township Health Department will be holding a Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic for all dogs over the age of 3 months on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the National Guard Armory, Eggerts Crossing Road, Lawrenceville, rain or shine.
All pets must be accompanied by an adult. All pets must be leashed or in suitable carriers.
