SOUTH BRUNSWICK – "See All the People," an art exhibit sponsored by South Brunswick Arts Commission and featuring three artists from Monroe, opened January 5 and continues through March 30.
It is being held at The Gallery in the South Brunswick Municipal Building, 540 Route 522/Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction.
A meet-the-artists reception is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The exhibit was juried by Princeton artist Howard Siskowitz, whose "Portrait Project" was on a national tour with the Smithsonian Museum and was exhibited at Pleiades Gallery in New York City and the Witherspoon Gallery in Princeton.
His portraits are in venues, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Collection, Washington, D.C., Everson Museum of Contemporary Art, Syracuse, and the New School for Social Research, New York City.
Exhibiting artists include Carl Frankel, Sue K. Green and Ina Light, all of Monroe.
Also participating are Bob Ambrosio, Carol Funk and Art Lee, of Dayton; Stephanie Barbetti, Dean Behrend and Michael Derer, of Kendall Park; Lesley Gevins, of Monmouth Junction; Don Bloom, of East Brunswick; Edith Neimark and Nancy Scott, of Lawrenceville; Ahuva Arie and Tito Cascieri, of West Windsor; and Lauren Curtis and Gwen Lentz, of Somerset.
This program has been made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts,. Department of State, a partner Agency of the National Endowment on the Arts, through a grant provided by the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, Board of Chosen Freeholders and the South Brunswick Township Council.
The Gallery is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and evenings when meetings are scheduled (Monday through Thursday).
