The Lucky 7 deli at the intersection of Princeton Avenue and Lawrence Road proved to be unlucky when a burglar smashed the front door glass to gain entry to the business, according to police reports.
The alarm monitoring company notified the Lawrence Township Police Department that the burglar alarm at the deli was going off, police Lt. Charles B. Edgar said.
Police officers discovered the front door glass had been broken and that an undisclosed amount of cash, lottery tickets and 18 cartons of cigarettes were missing. The incident is under investigation.
