Benedictor Lopez, 25, of Princeton was charged with contempt of court. At 12:12 a.m. on Monday, Mr. Lopez was arrested at police headquarters on an active Princeton Borough warrant in the amount of $2,500 for failing to appear in court for a charge of soliciting prostitution. He was taken to the Mercer County Detention Center in lieu of $2,500 bail.
Rosalina Alverado, 47, of Princeton was charged with criminal mischief and weapons offenses. At 8:41 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a residence on Clay Street on a report of a neighbor dispute, involving Ms. Alverado. Upon arrival, they found Ms. Alverado had broken several of the residence’s first-floor windows and doors by striking them with a glass bottle. She was arrested and later released on her own recognizance.
Christina Scott, 53, of Willingboro was charged with driving while intoxicated and contempt of court. At 1:40 p.m. on Monday, police arrested Ms. Scott for an active Princeton Borough warrant for driving while intoxicated in the amount of $2,500. She was arrested and held at the Mercer County Detention Center in lieu of $2,500 bail.
Princeton Township
David Norelli, 25, of Butler was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving and failure to stop at a stop sign. At 1:58 a.m. on Friday, police observed Mr. Norelli disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Valley Road and Route 206. Police said his vehicle then continued at high speed. Police stopped Mr. Norelli and noticed signs of intoxication. He was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. He was later released, pending court.
Georgiana Cumberbatch, 44, of Princeton was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and reckless driving. At 2:12 a.m. on Dec. 19, police stopped Ms. Cumberbatch, who was seen weaving across the centerline while traveling on Route 206, police said. She was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. She was later released, pending court.
Andrew Godfrey, 21, of Denver, Colorado, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated within 1,000 feet of a school, refusal to submit to a breath test and reckless driving. At 3:08 a.m. on Dec. 30, police responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in the snow on Russell Road. Upon arrival, police found that the driver, Mr. Godfrey, showed signs of intoxication. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
Errol Taylor, 55, of Princeton was arrested for having an active warrant from West Windsor in the amount of $240. At 3:30 p.m. on Friday, police found that Mr. Taylor had an active warrant while conducting a motor vehicle stop at Winfield Road. He was later released after posting $240 bail.
John A. Henneman, 19, of Princeton was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. At 5:51 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to a residence on Littlebrook Road for a burglar alarm activation. Upon arrival, police found the front door unsecured and while checking the house, found a bong and two glass pipes, allegedly belonging to Mr. Henneman, who was sleeping. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
Plainsboro
Myeong C. Shin, 42, of Princeton was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving and failure to dim high beams. At 1:22 a.m. on Dec. 23, police stopped Mr. Shin on Dey Road for failing to dim his high beams. The stop was one of the holiday Over the Limit, Under Arrest DWI checkpoints. During the stop, police found he was intoxicated. He was released on his own recognizance and later released, pending court.
Michael G. Newland, 22, of Frenchtown was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, using a cell phone while driving, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. At 1:51 a.m. on Dec. 31, police stopped Mr. Newland on Route 1 south for failing to maintain a single lane. During the stop, police found him to be intoxicated. He was released on his own recognizance, pending court.
Michael Mraz, 37, of Plainsboro was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and having an expired driver’s license. At 2:46 a.m. on Saturday, police stopped Mr. Mraz at Plainsboro Road after finding he had an expired driver’s license. During the stop, police found he was intoxicated after he failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and his vehicle was towed from the scene. He was released on his own recognizance, pending court.
Anuj Nehra, 28, of New Brunswick was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of prescription drugs, careless driving, maintenance of lamps, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain a single lane. At 1:12 a.m. on Dec. 30, police stopped Mr. Nehra for driving erratically on Plainsboro Road at a holiday Over the Limit, Under Arrest DWI checkpoint. Police said Mr. Nehra sideswiped a snow bank and crossed over the center double lines, until they stopped him at Maple Avenue. While investigating, police found Mr. Nehra in possession of a bottle containing capsules of a Schedule 2 narcotic used to treat ADJA and narcolepsy. But Mr. Nehra did not have prescriptions for these narcotics. He was arrested and later released on his own recognizance, pending court.
Police are investigating a theft that occurred at Aljon’s Restaurant. At 12:40 p.m. on Monday, someone stole about 200 gallons of cooking grease, estimated to be worth $40.
Montgomery
Carl Reimers, 80, of Princeton was charged with careless driving and Leslie Abraitis, 24, of Belle Mead, was charged with driving while suspended. At 3:08 p.m. on Dec. 21, police responded to Major Car Wash on Route 206 for a motor vehicle crash with no injuries. Mr. Reimers was exiting the car wash bay when his foot slipped from the brake to the accelerator. His vehicle struck the rear of Ms. Abraitis’s vehicle, which was being dried in the car wash bay. Both drivers are set to appear in court.
Ryan Carmon, 17, of Belle Mead, was charged with careless driving. At 7:11 a.m. on Dec. 23, police responded to Skillman Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Mr. Carmon, was driving west on Skillman Road when he struck the rear of another vehicle, turning right into a private driveway. No injuries were reported. Mr. Carmon is set to appear in court.
Robert J. Weimer III, 18, of Belle Mead, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, and an hours of operation violation for his probationary drivers license. At 4:41 a.m. on Saturday, police stopped Mr. Weimer for failing to maintain a lane while driving north on Route 206, near the Hillsborough border. During the stop, police determined he was intoxicated, arrested him and took him to police headquarters. While investigating the DWI, police found Mr. Weimer had been involved in a crash two hours earlier at the intersection of Sunset and Kildee roads. Police said he was pulling out of Kildee Road when he struck another vehicle traveling east on Sunset Road. He fled the scene of the crash, police said. He was subsequently charged with careless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, failing to report a crash, and a graduated drivers license violation for driving after hours. He was released, pending court.
Joseph M. Boyle, 26, of Morganville, was charged with driving while suspended, an unregistered vehicle, driving with no insurance, and using his cell phone without a hands-free device. At 11:57 p.m. on Dec. 22, police stopped Mr. Boyle on Route 206 for driving while using his cell phone when they found he had an active warrant for $750 out of Bridgewater Township. He was arrested and later released, pending court, after posting the $750 bail. His vehicle was impounded.
Matthew Mayer, 18, of Belle Mead, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence, speeding, and being in violation of his provisional drivers license for having too many passengers in his vehicle. At 7:33 a.m. on Tuesday, police stopped Mr. Mayer for speeding on Sunset Road. During the stop, police detected an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. A search revealed Mr. Mayer possessed two homemade pipes in his car. Police reporter he admitted that he had smoked marijuana prior to being stopped by police. He was arrested, along with a 15-year-old passenger in his car. A second juvenile passenger in his car was not charged and was released to a parent. The 15-year-old was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence and was later released to a parent. Mr. Mayer was released, pending court.
