LIBRARY HAPPENINGS: Week of Jan. 13

   The Manville Library will be closed Monday, Jan. 17, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

   January display: An exhibit of artists to benefit the Friends of Somerset Regional Animal Shelter are being featured in the display case.
   Also, an exhibit and reception will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room. The public is invited.
   Displays needed: Do you have a hobby or collection you would like to exhibit in the display case at the entrance to the library?

   Books for sale: The library is selling hardcover books for 50 cents, soft-cover ones for 25 cents or by the bag for $2.

Chess Club: The club meets every Saturday at 10 a.m. All ages are welcome.

Movie Night: Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 5:45 p.m. The movie will be “Night and Day” starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
   The program is free. Light refreshments will be served.

Crochet Club: Jan. 19 at 6:15 p.m.

Krafty Kids: Jan. 13 at 3:30 p.m. It is open to all kindergarten to eighth-grade students. Register in advance.

Storytime: The library is accepting registration for storytime beginning Jan. 3-21.
   To enroll, child must be 3½ by Aug. 1. The program is for all children 3½ to 5 years old. The program meets Wednesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. The children will be listening to stories, singing songs, making crafts, meeting friends and being exposed to the library.
   The session begins Jan. 26.
