Local residents Gail Komm and Melissa Oswald will host a Pancake Breakfast to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) 8:30-11:30 a.m. Jan. 30 at Frey Hall, 216 Joseph St., East Brunswick.
The breakfast menu will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, coffee, juice and more.
Cost is $10 per adult (ages 11 and up), $5 per child. Proceeds will go to LLS for research, patient and community services, financial aid and education. A $10 donation can provide two hours of microscope use to determine if a new medicine will stop a lifethreatening lung infection in a bone-marrow transplant patient.
Komm and Oswald, participants in the LLS Team in Training fundraising campaign, are raising money for the organization while training for the 26.2-mile Lake Placid Marathon.
