JAMESBURG – The Jamesburg Elks Lodge 2180 Special Children’s Committee is sponsoring a chili cook-off Sunday, Jan. 16, at the lodge to benefit Lance Cpl. Colin Pascik from Monroe Township, who was wounded in the line of duty.
Members and their family and friends are invited to support this event. Participants may bring chili, be a judge or sample the different varieties.
Entrants must have chili at the lodge by 3 p.m.; three pounds of chili is required. A pan and lid will be provided.
Prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place entries. A signup sheet is at the lodge.
Judging starts at 3:30 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. Donation is $5. Entry fee for participants is $10 and includes all you can eat.
Purple hearts will be available for a donation of $5 per heart.
