Mr. Heavey, 63, of Jackson, died Dec. 26, 2010, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement four years ago, he was an assistant vice president at Merrill Lynch, New York City. Surviving are his wife, Gloria Heavey; a son, Marc Heavey of Linden; two daughters, Christina Varvar of Manalapan and Jennifer Cea of Howell; and three grandchildren. Afuneral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover, Burlington County.
