Mrs. Grabowski, 92, of Sayreville, died Jan. 4, 2011, at home. Prior to her retirement in 1964, she was the owner of the Hilltop Inn, Sayreville, for 13 years. Before that, she owned two other taverns and restaurants in South River. She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Grabowski; and three brothers, Edward, John and Theodore “Oscar” Magielnicki. Surviving are a son, Peter M. Pozai, and his wife, Barbara, of Sayreville; three daughters, Kathleen Wutkowski of St. Petersburg, Fla., Patricia Pawelek-Halas and Jean Tarricone, and her husband, Frank, all of Sayreville; a sister, Helen Kimber of Milltown; a brother-in-law, Charles Grabowski of Sayreville; 10 grandchildren and their spouses; 14 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Arrangements were by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville.
