Chris Silva scored 20 points as the Heat defeated the Celtics. Andrew Mormile added 12 points, Billy Rudnick had four and Amos Barnes, Spence Woods, Brandon Zeller and Xavier Riley had two each. The Celtics were led by Daniel Blumenthal, Alex Baron, Ian Airey and Charlie McMahon (2 apiece). Defense and rebounding came from Ryan Finnegan, Mike Saunders, Daniel Gewecke, Drew Bodine and Andrew Brancato.
The Knicks pulled away for a 41-25 win over the 76ers. Zack Bregenzer led the win with 15 points, followed by Michael Pham (8), Shivam Patel (6), Drew Reynhout (6), Josh Alpern, David Nagley, and Justin Passer (2 apiece). Noah Cappello led rebounding. The Sixers got eight apiece from Robbie Jastrebski and Ian Willick, while Bryce Nagy (6), Zack Izzard (2) and Justin Raney (1) also scored. Jack Downey anchored the 76ers defense.
Mike Bozarth had 11 points while Joey Kolano added 10 in the Lakers win over the Nets. Kyle Martorana scored eight late points to push the Lakers over the top and Clay Farver added four points. Justin Cooke led the Nets with seven points and strong guard play after top scorer Spencer Daniels left with an injury. GIRLS 5-6
The Wolverines took a 32-22 win over the JayHawks as Samantha Barnes and Alex Babicki tallied 12 points each. Sarah Ouslander and Johanna Lange added four apiece with solid defense and rebounding coming from Mary Buck and Kayla McInerney. The JayHawks were led by Katie Modzelewski (12), Paige Braithwaite, Kayla Harrison (4 each) and Kelly Hoehn (2). Defense was contributed by Camilla Collins, Ava Gill and Nanaho Pakino.
Megan Radice had nine points and Krissy Costill seven as the Wildcats defeated the Lions, 22-6. Jenny Costill added four points and Elizabeth Brennan two. Ruth Wyckoff, Hannah Greenzang and Lauren Murray played excellent defense. For the Lions, Niamh Harkins had four and Naomi Kinnamon added two. BOYS 3-4
Joseph Rodriguez tallied 20 points as the Knights defeated the Bulldogs, 34-12. Paul Pitera added six points, while Nicco Ellis, Trevor Radice, Kenny Tagliareni and Lawrence Mahle added two apiece. Eric Osterman, Jonathan Nardozza played strong defense for the Knights. Matt Nyce led the Bulldogs with eight points, Grayson Russo added three and Jack Haynes one.
The Runnin’ Rebels edged the Pirates, 24-22, behind the offense of Patrick Johnson, Ricky Eng, Isaiah Poole and Shane Gross. James Jackson, Nate Bredin, Chase Pratt and George Burditt made big defensive stops. Brendan Jackson, Nick Bates, Wilson Daniels and Braydon Butler contributed to the Pirates offense, while Cal Caputo, Max Caputo, Freddy McClatchy and Liam May played good defense. GIRLS 3-4
The Tigers battled valiantly in a comeback effort that fell short in a 28-18 loss to the Wolverines. Lindsey Parker and Caroline Herbert both scored six points, while Lauren Coppins, Grace Hayden and Sophia Stivala each scored two for the Tigers. The winners were led by Riley Finnegan (8), Nicole Apai (6), Courtney Woods (4), Maddy Ellis (4), Caroline Tamasi (2), Erin Murphy (2) and Oriana Harkins (2).
