The Gettysburg College wrestling team won its Centennial Conference opener over Washington & Lee University, 27-15.
Gettysburg (2-3, 1-0 CC) went 1-2 at the event, opening the day with losses to Washington & Jefferson (27-13) and Muskingum University (24-17) before beating conference foe Washington & Lee.
Freshman Jared Leon of Hillsborough posted three wins for the Bullets. Leon provided a big blow by pinning Daniel Igel in 2:23 against W&L.
Leon also picked up wins by decision in losses to Washington & Jefferson and Muskingum to go 3-0 on the day. Earlier this season, Leon took fourth place at the Petrofes Invitational, which was hosted by Messiah College.
Gettysburg was scheduled for a conference match at McDaniel College on Wednesday.
