CRANBURY: Planners have reorganization

   CRANBURY — After working through a Master Plan revision, the Planning Board completed a few more changes at its reorganization meeting Jan. 6 by appointing new members, a new chairman and vice chairman.
   Committeeman David Cook is the new Township Committee member on the Planning Board. Mayor Winthrop Cody, Art Hasselbach and Jason Stewart also are new members on the board.
   The board’s attorney, Valerie Kimson, swore in Mr. Cook, Mr. Hasselbach and Mayor Cody at the meeting. Mr. Stewart was not present.
   Thomas Harvey was reappointed as a member for a term ending Dec. 31, 2013.
   The board unanimously voted for architect and former vice chairman Alan Kehrt to be its chairman this year, and it voted Thomas Harvey as vice chairman, also unanimously. Mr. Kehrt takes James Golubieski’s seat, who stepped down from the board this year.
   The other members of the board are Dietrich Wahlers, Eugene Speer and Kathleen Wasson, the board of education representative.
   The Planning Board reappointed Josette Kratz as its secretary and Virginia Guinta as its court reporter.
   Ms. Kimson, of Mason, Griffin and Pierson, was reappointed as the board’s attorney, and Richard Preiss, of Phillips, Preiss and Grygel, was reappointed as the board planner.
   Andrew Feranda, of Shropshire Associates LLC, was reappointed as the board traffic consultant.
   Cathleen Marcelli was appointed as the board’s interim engineer.
   The board unanimously voted for its meetings to be on first and third Thursdays of the month at 7:30 p.m., the same as last year.
   It voted The Cranbury Press as its official newspaper for the year and for the Home News Tribune and The Trenton Times to be secondary newspapers, also unanimously.
