Adrienne Esposito, 18, of Princeton, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. At 1:23 a.m. on Jan. 5, police stopped to speak Ms. Esposito, who was parked in a parking lot on Great Road. Police detected an odor of marijuana and found she was allegedly in possession of under 50 grams and a glass pipe. She was arrested and later released on her own recognizance, pending court.
Montgomery
Dmitry Gavinsky, 31, of Pennington, was charged with careless driving. At 5:50 p.m. on Jan. 7, police responded to a motor vehicle crash with an injury at Route 518 near the Blawenburg Reformed Church. Mr. Gavinsky attempted to stop for other vehicles that were stopped in traffic in front of him but collided with the vehicle of Yi Rui Zheng, 30, of Ozone Park, New York. His vehicle was pushed into the rear of a vehicle driven by Lawrence Mazzeo, 49, of Skillman. Mr. Zheng complained of pain to his knee, but declined medical treatment.
William Milner, 28, of Ewing, was charged with improper passing and was arrested on an active warrant in the amount of $209 out of Lawrence Township. At 8:13 a.m. on Monday, police received a 911 call reporting Mr. Milner driving recklessly in Hopewell Township and was last seen on Cherry Valley Road. Police stopped Mr. Milner, after they observed him driving partially off the road while passing stopped traffic at the Grandview Road intersection. He was arrested and later released after posting bail.
Police responded to a house fire at 8:40 a.m. on Thursday at 368 Dutchtown Zion Road. Upon arrival, police found Marty Carlson, 51, who was standing outside the smoking structure. No one else was present at the time of the fire. He said he was outside shoveling snow when he heard his smoke detector sounding. Police were able to extinguish the fire with an extinguisher. The fire department arrived and put out the remaining fire. Mr. Carlson was treated at the scene by Montgomery EMS for minor smoke inhalation. The fire is under investigation, but police and fire officials do not believe it is suspicious at this time. The damage was minor and the family will not be displaced.

Police are investigating an act of identity theft that occurred between Dec. 24 and Dec. 28 at Ravens Crest Drive. A resident of Jersey City reported an unknown actor fraudulently obtained two credit cards in his name and used them for purchases totaling $5,500.
