Craig Fanning, 19, of Florence, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia Jan. 2 around 11:30 a.m. Police were patrolling the parking lot of the QuickStop store on Route 130 at Butts Avenue and noticed three individuals in a parked vehicle become nervous while looking at the police vehicle. Police noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Mr. Fanning said the had just bought a blunt cigar from the QuickStop. Police asked if there were any controlled dangerous substances in the car and Mr. Fanning produced a baggie containing a greenish-brown vegetation suspected to be marijuana. Mr. Fanning was taken to police headquarters, issued a summons and released pending a court date. The two passengers were juveniles, not charged but given warnings and released.
Florence
Antonio Vera, 25, of Florence, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to produce documents and failure to maintain lamps Jan. 16. Police observed Mr. Vera driving on Florence-Columbus Road when he failed to maintain his lane of travel and conducted a stop. Police detected the odor of alcohol during the stop and sobriety tests were completed. Mr. Vera was taken to police headquarters, processed and released pending a future court date. ***
Ernisha Ramsey, 21, of Trenton, was charged with three failure to appear warrants, one fugitive warrant from Pennsylvania, being a fugitive from justice, hindering apprehension, two summons for having children unrestrained in a motor vehicle and driving on a suspended license on Jan. 17 around 11 a.m. Police observed Ms. Ramsey driving with two young children not in car seats and conducted a stop. During the stop Ms. Ramsey gave police the wrong name, investigation revealed Ms. Ramsey’s true identity and that she had several outstanding warrants. Ms. Ramsey was taken into custody, processed and transported to Burlington County Jail in default of $7,063.09 and extradition to Pennsylvania. ***
Kevin Richardson, 51, of Roebling, was charged with theft on Jan. 17 at 3:30 p.m. After completion of an investigation police learned that on Dec. 15 Mr. Richardson stole a package that was delivered to the front door of an apartment. Mr. Richardson was served with his complaints and processed at Burlington County Jail where he was lodged on other pending charges.
