From Caregiver to Care Partners

By Diane Hasili
Residents across Mercer County attended the “Nurturing the Nurturers Conference” held at the YWCA Princeton. The event was a collaborative effort of local organizations and health experts – all who donated their time. Attendees were invited to look at themselves as “care partners” instead of “caregivers.” The day also provided an opportunity to network, learn about local resources, and participate in workshops led by health and service professionals.
Speakers included (left to right): Susan Hoskins of Princeton Senior Resource Center, Dr. Caryn Kennelly of Trinity Counseling Service, Teena Cahill, Director of Wisdom & Beyond, LLC, Dr. Wendy Matthews,  Rev. Peter Stimpson of Trinity Counseling, Dr. Eileen Kennedy-Moore, and Judith Hutton, CEO of YWCA Princeton. Presenters not shown include: Dr. Valerie Brooks Klein, Dr. Wendy Matthews, Dr. Sharon Press, Elizabeth Rose, Mia Cahill, Esq. and Elizabeth Smith, Esq. of Dennigan Cahill, P.C., and Douglas Ziegler, CPA.
The event was a collaborative effort by Princeton Senior Resource Center, Trinity Counseling Service, Teena Cahill of Wisdom & Beyond, LLC, and the YWCA Princeton.
