Bordentown Township Senior Citizen Club meetings are the first and third Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Senior Community Center on Municipal Drive. All township seniors age 55 and over welcome. Every Wednesday, line dancing from 10 to 11 a.m., yoga 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Every Thursday, tap dancing from 10 to 11 a.m. Every Friday, dance motivation exercise from 10 to 11 a.m. Call 298-7811.
Bordentown Little League is accepting registrations for the Spring 2011 baseball and softball season. Boys and girls that are 4 years old and up at April 30, 2011 are eligible to participate. Bordentown Chapter 257, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold a Homemade Soup and Game Night 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at the Masonic Temple, 121 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, Cost is $5 a person and includes sandwiches and dessert.
The Record Collector, 358 Farnsworth Ave., will be hosting the "Improvisations" CD Release Party for Dr. Nick (Dr. Nicholas Rossos of Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown City) and the Wah Wah Boys on Sunday, Jan. 23, as a free event from 2 to 5 p.m. Rachel Rossos, Dr. Rossos’ oldest daughter and her husband, Michael Gallant, will perform a number of songs from the CD and songs from their own CD that is being released in March.
The Northern Burlington Regional Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Business to Business Networking Event on Wednesday, Jan. 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Heart Care Specialists at Capital Health, 625 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown., Bring plenty of business cards for networking. St. Mary’s Parochial School, established in 1888, located at 30 Elizabeth St., Bordentown City is having an Open House on Tuesday, Feb. 1. Bordentown Township Seniors are requesting donations to supply their military with blankets. The cost is $3.50 each and will provide warmth for our men and women being deployed to serve overseas. Often time these transports are not equipped with the amenities provided for passengers, more likely to carry freight. Marge Campbell is heading this activity. She will be at the Senior Center on Municipal Drive on Monday, Feb. 7, and Monday, Feb. 21, from noon to 2pm.
Saint Mary’s Parish is hosting its first Monte Carlo Casino Night on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 7 to 11p.m. It will be a "Mardi Gras" evening with six black jack tables, one poker table, one craps table, one double roulette table held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hamilton.
Hors d’oeuvres, desserts and refreshments will be served with a cash bar. Tickets are $50 per person, which includes $60 in chips, or $90 a couple which includes $120 in chips. Bordentown Regional School District is accepting applications for a full day, tuition based preschool program for children who are 4 years old and will turn 5 by Oct.1, 2011. The program offers Tools of the Mind, a nationally recognized early childhood curriculum in a state-of the-art classroom designed for preschoolers. Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 has bingo every Tuesday night at 7:15. Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a progressive jackpot and food is available for purchase. The lodge has sandwich night every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Price is $6. Lodge 2085 does a breakfast on the third Sunday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
