The Rams dropped a 105-65 decision to powerful West Windsor-Plainsboro North last Thursday, despite two wins by Scott Vitabile (200 freestyle, 2:10.66; 100 butterfly, 1:06.18) and one by Steve Vitabile (200 IM, 2:37.99) and Brian Hubbard (1:17.91). GIRLS SWIMMING
Hightstown fell to West Windsor-Plainsboro North, 121-49. Steph Lauer had second-place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 fly, Aziza Ahmed was second in the 100 back and third in the 50 free and Jen Lauer took second in the 500 free and third in the 100 breast. CO-ED SWIMMING
The Rams rolled to a 114-53 victory over Trenton, which raised the boys’ record to 6-4 as co-ed meets count on the boys’ slate.
Hightstown swept the 200 free behind Nicolette Hankh (2:52.93), Jolie Rizzo and Justin Bianchini, the 100 fly behind Ruthvik Kumar (1:37.98), Adam Perez and Emily LeBlanc, and the 500 free with Alex Glasser (5:26.45), Megan Grelis and Courtney Lenzo.
Other winners were Eric Hubbard (200 IM, 2:39.86), Gideon Van Kampen (100 free, 1:05.71), the 200 free relay team of Brian Hubbard, Bobby Raymond, Scott Vitabile and Steven Vitabile (1:45.42), and the 400 free relay team of Austin Freedman, Glasser,, Sarah LeChard and Gauri Sadalgekar (5:16.9).
Second-place finishers included Jamie Bocanumanth (50 free), Aziza Ahmed (100 free), Van Kampen (100 back) and Justin Bianchini (100 breast), while finishing third were LeChard (200 IM), Courtney Lenzo (500 free), Annastasia Lang (100 back) and Craig Fischbach (100 breast). WRESTLING
Hightstown took a 37-30 victory over Princeton on Saturday as Gavin Edgerton (160), Joey DeCristofaro (171) and Marcus Lawrence (215), all pinned, while Chris Boyle ( 140) won by major decision and Sean LeBlanc (119), Fabian Toto (130) and Josh Parkhurst (145) won by decision. The Rams improved to 7-5 with the win.
