Cranbury School kindergarten registration will take place Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. in the large group room of the school.
Children do not need to be present. Students must be 5 years old by Oct. 1 in order to enter kindergarten.

The First Presbyterian Church in Cranbury will be having the sixth annual gourmet-style dinner to raise funds for the annual church mission trip to Guatemala in late June.
The funds we raise will provide the opportunity to purchase much-needed medical supplies for the people and materials and equipment for building projects in Guatemala.
The dinner will be at the church on Friday, Jan. 28, and Saturday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m. Dinner choices include filet mignon, chicken or salmon as your main course for only $50 a ticket.
The meal is a sit-down dinner with waiter service, complete with salad and dessert. Entertainment Friday evening will be provided by a string quartet with pianist and saxophone.
Saturday evening, Francine Hannay will play the piano, and a barbershop quartet also will entertain.

The Cranbury Lions Club has revived the popular Valentine’s Day rose sale.
This year, the Lions will be working in conjunction with The Cutting Garden, located at 70 N. Main St. in Cranbury.
Gorgeous bouquets of 12 long-stem red roses, paired with white monte casino (asters) and greens, will be available for $50 until Feb. 4.
This bouquet will be wrapped in craft paper and tied with a big red bow. Each bouquet also includes a $5 coupon off a future purchase at the Cutting Garden, (good through 2012).
Most importantly; a portion of proceeds from the Lions bouquets will be donated to the Cranbury Lions Club.
The Lions are a group of service-minded men and women who are interested in improving their communities. The Lions are the world’s largest service club organization.

The Cranbury School PTO invites the public to view the film, "Race to Nowhere: The Dark Side of America’s Achievement Culture," on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
"Race to Nowhere" points to the silent epidemic in our schools. Cheating has become commonplace; students are disengaged; stress-related illness and depression are rampant; and many young people arrive at college and the workplace unprepared and uninspired.

The screening will be followed by an open discussion for anyone interested in talking about what the message of this documentary means to us and our kids! ***
