PEI Kids, a Lawrence-based organization committed to the safety of all children in Mercer County by providing child abuse and bully prevention education in schools, therapeutic crisis intervention to victims of sexual child abuse, gang and crime prevention programs for high risk teens and a visitation program for children in out of home placement, announces the appointment of its new executive director, Penny Ettinger. Ms. Ettinger was selected following an extensive and thorough executive search process.
Ms. Ettinger joins PEI Kids with more than 25 years of experience in human services and nonprofit administration. She succeeds PEI’s founder, Evelyn A. Gill of Lawrence.
"I was drawn to PEI Kids because of their extraordinary commitment to children and families. especially our most vulnerable," Ms. Ettinger said.
