ROBBINSVILLE: RBA Results

   Fairway Independent Mortgage played awesome on Saturday against Pinky Toes in Robbinsville Basketball Association 1st/2nd Grade Girls League action. Ella Iorio, Mackenzie Psiuk, and Elena Gavlick led a balanced scoring attack. Maris Brown, Sofia Papa and Fiona Dennis led a stifling defense.
   In 1st/2nd Grade Boys League play, Villa Barone played another strong game against H&H Gas. The defense was led by Nick Walls, Dave Updegraff, Richey Dutcher, Joey Conception and Kyle Johnson. The offensive attack was sparked by Drake Torrington, Shawn Updegraff, Robert Kammerer and Eric Calabro. H&H Gas played a strong game with an outstanding offensive performance by Rohan Sharma and contributions by Patrick Murtland, Jack Wright and Sriteja Nara. A great defensive effort was led by Luke Aromando, Matt Barker, Sean Evans, Jake Perrine and Shoubirh Reddy.
   Aztec Graphics and Pizza Grill squared off in a great game. For Aztec, Tyler Provost and Christian Ailey led the scoring. Aidan Carr and Nolan Carr led the defense. Mark Plaus and Srikar Lanka had great rebounds. Kunal Kapoor, Skyler Frostrom, and Henry Kline led the scoring for a strong Pizza Grill team. Ryan Jacobs, Ryan Dan and Sky Lin added assists. Collin Astemborski led the defensive efforts and Max Lasky had general offensive and defensive rebounds.
3-4 GirlsTimothy’s Center for Gardening vs. State FarmTimothy’s beat out a tough State Farm team 15-8 behind the great defensive effort of Anayah McNeil, Francesca Ragusa, and Brinda Suresh. Rachel Gillmer led the offense with 6 points, while Marieli Perez and Alexa Petito added 4 points each. Brianna Haggerty, Elena Falzone and Olivia Doran were terrific on both ends of the court.Maggie Moo’s vs. Aztec GraphicsMaggie Moo’s broke an even record by defeating Aztec Graphics 11-4. Karina Bharatiya led an astonishing defensive effort. On the other side of the court, Keely McEntee and Aanya Gupta played excellent offense. Laura Bradley was the defensive player of the game. Sonia Bharatiya and Grace Maslack also did a great job on both sides of the ball.Barbero Bakery vs. Viking PaintingBarbero Bakery won its first game 6-4 on Saturday over Viking Painting. Ally Schatz, Kim Evans and Nicole Terry each had a bucket. Lily West, Lizzy Young and Grace Goodwin made nine passes while Toni Escuadro and Jaclyn Goodman locked down the defense.Color Me Mine vs. Pizza Grill.comColor Me Mine had a balanced scoring attack in their 14-8 victory over Pizza Grill.com. Clara Martin led the offensive effort with 4 points. Amanda Godfrey and Layla Walcott each had 3 points. Gillian Carr and Sarah Mazalewski each added a basket to round out the scoring for Color Me Mine. The defense was tremendous, led by Sydney MacCagnan, Aileen Valerio and Kylie Jones with a lot of support from Kareisa Nix and Danielle Dobrowolski. The girls displayed true team spirit by always passing the ball to the open player, leading to a fast-paced offense and a high scoring game.3-4 GirlsPremier Physical Therapy vs. Advance ElectricPremier Physical Therapy played a well-rounded game, defeating Advance Electric 28-24. The scoring was led by Nick Zangrilli and John Pierson, who both added 8 points to the scoreboard. Other scorers were Joe Penzone with 4 points, Peter Mathews with 4 points, Michael Giordano and Ryan Siminske also had 2 points each.Giordano Residential Appraisals vs. Tony’s Farm and Garden CenterGreat defense was played by Giordano Residential Appraisals to defeat Tony’s Farm and Garden Center 20-8. Brian Tierney led the offense with 12 points and Matt Giordano rounded off the offense with 8 points. Max McEntee and Kanishk Giri pulled down 5 rebounds each for a shut-down defense.Route 33 Barbershop vs. The Pretzel PlaceRoute 33 Barbershop’s strong team effort and all-around playing led then to their first win over The Pretzel Place. Colin McCunney led a spirited effort with 11 points to secure the victory. Hunter Mosley added 4 points while Mike Radosti, Brandon Patterson and Connor Fitzgerald played a strong all-around game. Russert’s Deli vs. Robbinsville Township PBARusserts secured a strong victory over Robbinsville Township PBA 22-15. Russert’s was led by Phil Sapienza’s 8 points and Joe Consiglio’s 6 points. C.J Ondy, Alex Margeotes, Vinny Iorio and Shawn Werdal each had 2 points. Alex Rossi, Patrick Cettina and Heath Reyes played great defense as well.Foxmoor Animal Hospital vs. Take 5 GourmetConnor Kiszely led the way for Foxmoor Animal Hospital in their 19-14 victory over Take 5 Gourmet. Kiszely scored 9 points to hold off a strong Take 5 team. Colin Tonry added 4 points to the board, and Keith Motuesesky put in another 6 points. A tough defense was highlighted by Amir Basma, Gerard Takwa and Kevin Nodine. Take 5 played a tough game as well. Down 10 points after the first quarter, they outscored their opponents 14-9 in the last 3 quarters. The team’s effort was highlighted by Adam Bocanfuso and Matt Bocanfuso.5-6 GirlsFoxmoor Animal Hospital vs. Premier Physical TherapyFoxmoor Animal Hospital defeated Premier Physical Therapy Saturday, earning a big win and remaining undefeated. Annie Brunner led the way with 13 points. Maria Nitti, Caitlyn Caodo and Fiona Aramondo chipped in 6 points each. Shelby Hinchman added 4 points of her own and Erin Godfrey added a basket too. Alexa Sautter and Lauren Rubino led the defense, pulling down big rebounds and preventing a strong Premier Physical Therapy team from scoring. Premier Physical Therapy had balanced scoring with Liz Anderson and Emily Tufford scoring 4 points each. Megan Lekulitch, Megan Haegley and Divya Kumar each chipped in 2 points. Sara Toscano, Sam Barnaba and Amanda Hutchins played tough at both ends of the floor.Donmar Business Services vs. Russert’s DeliDonmar improved to 5-0 with an 8-6 win on Saturday. Kellie Hoffman led the scorers with 4 points. Victoria Mysholowsky and Paige Brower each had a bucket as well. Angelina Manieri, Camryn Tomao, Rily Tuffy and Karin Gonzalez played a lock down defense. 5-6 BoysDolce and Clemente vs. Town Center Dental”The Dolce boys” won a huge game against Town Center Dental by a score of 23-17. The offensive attack was led by Zach and Walter Romanow with 8 and 6 points respectively. Taylor Twamley had 4 points, Kyle Twamley had 2 points and Jared Twamley had 2 points as well. The “Dolce Defense” was played by Dylan Harris, Brandon Sankey, Carl Keating and Shiv Bhatt. Jimmy Gallagher was sidelined with an injury but will be back next week.7-8 GirlsRobbinsville Women’s Club vs. SAFERobbinsville Women’s Club came together and worked strong on defense, defeating SAFE 24-15. A number of fast breaks allowed the team to get some points on the board. They stick to the basics, allowing the team to execute shots, set picks and move the ball. For SAFE, Victoria Zangrilli scored 9 points, and Alyssa Burkitt scored 4 points. Amanda Weigand added another 2 points to round out the scoring for the SAFE team. Christina Kanagawa, Sydney Rubin and Melissa Ailey played good defense as well. Erica Brower and Anoushka Giri handled the boards well to keep the scoring low. Jersey Mikes Subs vs. Ernie’sJersey Mikes had a big game, defeating Ernie’s on Friday. Jess Vodilka dominated the boards, grabbing an astonishing 20 rebounds while adding 2 points and an assist. Jess Nicol poured in 9 points and grabbed 8 rebouds. Theresa Demkovitz added 5 points to the scoreboard and pulled down 9 rebounds as well. Nicole Cox scored 4 points, Emily Langsdorf had 2 assists and 2 rebounds and Sammy Deck grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out an assist. Nehal Patil led the hawking Jersey Mike’s Subs Defense.Cenral Perk and Bagel vs. Santino’sIn a tough and tremendously close game, Central Perk and Bagel defeated the powerful Santino’s by a nail-biting 2 points 11-9. Olivia Armstrong led the scoring with 5 points, Imaz Zaki added 4 points, and Kristen Kowalski put in a basket. The real story behond the Central Perk victory was defense; everyone contributed to the powerful and aggressive defense. Their defense was highlighted by Carissa Genzo, Jess Orlak, Rithika Korrapolu, Liz Hodson, Mackenzie Bayless, and Cara Szkudlapski. Santino’s played their best defensive game of the year, led by the Defensive Player of the Game Jessica Brady. Brady had help on defense from Jordan Dee and Selena Scialfa. The offense was led by Cora Wolfinger, Abby Kirkpatrick, Jessica Allen and Courtney Allen, who made a 3-pointer to tie the game with under a minute to go.7-8 BoysRobbinsville Township PBA vs. Tony’s Farm and Garden CenterA strong team effort by Robbinsville Township PBA pushed them over the top for a victory. The team scoring was led by John Riggs, Sean Carr and Collin Buecker. A swarming team defense was led by Olu Aliweri, Milan Mehta, Connor Bauer and Richie Kasper. For Tony’s, the offense was stupendous. Offensive powerhouses were Chad Hodson, Steven Petroni, Colin Clark, Matt Veisz, Elliot Kang, Christopher Sumners and Michael Ortepio. John Kolaski, Kevyn Ezzo and Matt Brittman played a great all-around game.
