Scotties wrestlers sweep quad meet

The Bordentown High wrestling team swept a quad meet against Pemberton, Burlington Township and Burlington City last Saturday to improve to 14-0 on the season.
Ted Rigas, Shawn Gavin, James DiPierro and Matt Bauer all had pins in a 66-15 win over Pemberton that was aided by seven wins by forfeit. In a 54-20 win over Burlington Township, Gavin, Drew Pederson and Khalid Shakir all had wins via the pin. In a 61-13 win over Burlington City, the Scotties received pins from Justin McTamney, Chris Nitschman, Brandon Mazur and Patrick Mallard.
The Bordentown boys basketball team rolled to a 74-48 win over Riverside as Kartavin Youngblood led the way with 22 points and Michael Ansong added 18 points. The win was the second of the season for the Scotties, who earlier posted a 56-55 win over Maple Shade as Youngblood scored 18 points and Ansong added 13.
The Bordentown girls basketball team dropped a 44-29 decision to Holy Cross to slip to 6-4 on the season. Emily Lawson had eight points to lead the Scotties. Earlier, Bordentown topped Northern Burlington, 43-24, as Lawson led the way with 10 points. Alexis McTamney and Alicia Carthan added eight points apiece in the win.
