EAST WINDSOR – A township resident Was slapped with numerous charges Saturday after allegedly smoking a cigarette laced with PCP at municipal court, Lt. James Monahan told the Herald.
Police said Michael Heuston, 33, of Edison Drive, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, possessing controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.
The charges stem from a Jan. 9 incident at municipal court, located at police headquarters, where cops say Mr. Heuston fell ill while trying to smoke the laced cigarette, or "sherm stick."
According to police reports, after finding the cigarette, an officer complained of lightheadedness. In addition, an emergency medical technician who treated Mr. Heuston felt sick. A HazMat team cleared the area and all three were taken to local hospitals, treated and released later that day.
Lt. Monahan said lab results confirmed the cigarette was laced with PCP. [email protected]
