The Hamilton Y Aquatic Club had several swimmers with top 8 finishes at the Princeton Invitational, which was held at Princeton University on Jan. 15-16. The event was a short course yards meet at DeNunzio Pool.
In the 10-and-under Girls Division, Elizabeth Slahetka was eighth in 100 breaststroke (1:36.92). Nikita Kouznetsova finished fifth in 50 freestyle (33.13) and seventh in the 200 free (2:41.50).
In the 11-12 Girls Division, Annie Menninger was eight in 100 breaststroke (1:22.59). In the 13-14 Girls Division, Emily Schroeder was first in the 200 butterfly (2:09.37), 100 fly (59.27), 200 IM (2:12.37), and 400 IM (4:42.91). She was also second in the 200 back (2:16.81) and third in the 50 free (25.76). Meredith Davies finished seventh in the 200 back (2:23.43).
In the 10-and-under Boys Division, Hrushikesh Jagana was seventh in the 100 Fly (1:30.90) and eighth in the 200 free (2:32.01).
In the 11-12 Boys Division, Seth Weingarten was fourth in the 50 breast (38.13).
In the 13-14 Boys Division, Teddy Slahetka was sixth in the 500 free (5:26.02), sixth in the 200 free (2:02.78), seventh in the 100 fly (1:02.99), eighth in the 400 IM (4:57.37), and eighth in the 200 back (2:21.11). Matt Tees was sixth in the 200 breast (2:41.61).
In the 15-18 Boys Division, Kevin Diefenbach was first in the 200 free (1:51.14), and sixth in the 50 free (23.54). Danny Sullivan was second in the 200 breast (2:23.08).
