Princeton, Jan. 23, 2011—Princeton resident and artist, Dara Alter will be revealing her newest series of work with her solo art exhibition, My Heart is Here. The show, which is set to run throughout February, will open with a reception on February 13, 2011 from 3-5pm. The reception will be held in the lobby of The Jewish Center, at 435 Nassau St. Princeton, NJ 08540.
My Heart is Here will unite art styles with a collection of both representational, and contemporary landscapes displayed side by side. Alter paints aerial landscapes from memories of places that are of personal significance to her. Her objective is to paint a better world— a vibrant utopia. Alter uses her position as a new immigrant to draw from the multiple societies where she has lived.
