The road to Santiago
Monday, Jan. 31 Join writer and inspirational speaker Anna Larotonda on a spiritual journey along the ancient pilgrim routes of Spain at 7 p.m.
This will be a presentation of the 1,000-year-old medieval pilgrimage trail of Saint James Way across northern Spain to the city of Santiago de Compostela. Ladies Valentine Tea
Wednesday, Feb. 2 The Robbinsville Women’s Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Robbinsville branch of the Mercer County Library, which is across from the township senior citizen building on Robbinsville-Allentown Road. All ladies are welcome, and are not required to live in Robbinsville.

‘Souper Bowl’ luncheon
Saturday, Feb. 5 The Plumsted Presbyterian Church board of deacons will host a “Souper Bowl” luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until the soup is gone) at the church, 14 Front St., New Egypt.

Cupid’s Cabaret
Saturday, Feb. 5 The Millstone Township Foundation for Educational Excellence (MTFEE) will host its second annual Cupid’s Cabaret at 7 p.m. at Knob Hill Country Club in Manalapan.
The event will include a cocktail reception, dinner and dessert. It will feature New York-caliber cabaret singers, as well as a DJ for dancing. There also will be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. The cost is $50 per person, with a cash bar option.
The event will help MTFEE provide grant funding to the Millstone Township School District for new and innovative programs to enrich and enhance education for the districts students.

Black history presentation
Monday, Feb. 7 The Plumsted Branch of the Ocean County Library will celebrate Black History Month with a live portrayal of the amazing life of African-American freedom fighter Isabella Baumfree (aka Sojourner Truth) at 4:30 p.m.
Sojourner Truth (1797-1883) was a gifted speaker who fought for the rights of African-Americans and women.

Diabetes discussion
Wednesday, Feb. 9 The monthly Live and Learn program will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Senior Outreach Services community meeting room, Plumsted Municipal Building (lower level via elevator), 121 Evergreen Road, New Egypt.
The speaker will be Dr. Kenneth Ordene, an endocrinologist from Centra State Hospital, whose topic will be diabetes.

The club offers low- or no-cost monthly calendar events for all age groups that include day trips, play groups, clubs, community service projects and MOMS Night Out.
