METUCHEN — Police are investigating a burglary that took place at an Orchard Avenue home last week.
The break-in occurred between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Jan. 13, police said. The victims told police they arrived home and observed the front door ajar and broken wood from the door on the ground, according to police. They said they recently had their hardwood floors laminated, and found footsteps in the wood, according to police.
A laptop valued at $800 was stolen from the residence, police said.
