TINTON FALLS — The Monmouth Reform Temple, 332 Hance Ave., will host a lively and informative discussion that incorporates three religions on Sunday, Feb. 13.
ACommunity Interfaith Panel from 4 to 6 p.m. will address how different clergy address the topic “Confession and Forgiveness.”
Rabbi Michelle Pearlman and Rabbi Emeritus Sally J. Priesand will represent Monmouth Reform Temple, while the Rev. John J. Folchetti of St. Leo the Great Church in Lincroft, the Rev. C. David McKirachan of The Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury, Imam Sohaib Sultan, chaplain at Princeton University, will compose the rest of the panel. Rabbi Pearlman will moderate the panel.
A five-minute talk by each clergy will start the program, followed by a questionand answer period when the topic will be discussed in more depth. Then people in the audience will be asked to discuss the commonalities among each religion regarding the topic of confession and forgiveness.
In the spirit of community, a bone marrow registry program will take place before and after the talk, beginning at 3:30 p.m. and continuing after the event at 6 p.m.
