Mrs. Peterson, 62, of Monroe, formerly of Cliffwood Beach, died Jan. 17, 2011, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She worked with the Old Bridge Board of Education as a payroll clerk for 42 years. Mrs. Peterson was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Katherine Ellis Derechailo. Surviving are her husband, Christian R. Peterson; her children, Christy Gregoire and her husband, Lawrence, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, Dennis E. Peterson and his wife, Mizuki, of Edison, and Gregory S. Peterson of Monroe; four grandchildren; her siblings, Joanne Nebus of Toms River, Barbara Lynn Barrett of Missouri City, Texas, Edward J. Derechailo of Cliffwood Beach, and Bruce Derechailo of Matawan; and her mother-in-law, Mary Peterson of Cliffwood Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Keyport. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
