Mr. Sargeant, 84, of Holmdel, formerly of Cliffwood Beach, died Jan. 16, 2011, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He worked for Rheems Manufacturing Co., Linden, for 35 years, retiring in 1981. He then worked for CRT Support Co. for 19 years, retiring in 2001. Mr. Sargeant was predeceased by his wife, Irene; two sons, William and Eric Sargeant; a brother, Herbert Sargeant; and a sister, Ruth Oleksowicz. Surviving are his children, Susan Jucciarone and her husband, Joseph, ofOld Bridge, Herbert Sargeant and his wife, Debbie, of Old Bridge, Gary Sargeant and his wife, Phyllis, of Pennsylvania, and Craig Sargeant and his wife, Diane, of Ewing; two daughters-in-law, Barbara Sargeant of Cliffwood Beach and Debbie Sargeant of South Amboy; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Ray Sargeant of Edison; and seven greatgrandchildren. Day Funeral Home, Keyport, handled the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
