The next talk in St. David’s Episcopal Church’s series on Celtic saints will feature St. Brigid.
The Rev. Gordon Graham will give a brief account of her life and reflect on the spiritual lessons that may be drawn from her Sunday, Jan. 30, at 8.50 a.m.
A resident of Princeton, Dr. Graham is Henry Luce III professor of philosophy and the arts at Princeton Theological Seminary and has been an associate priest at St David’s since September 2009.
He is the author of several books on a variety of subjects in philosophy, ethics, politics, art and religion, including “Evil and Christian Ethics” (Cambridge University Press, 2001) and “The Re-enchantment of the World: Art versus Religion” (Oxford University Press, 2007).
The Cranbury Public Library will host a workshop with Kathy Burke from Cranbury’s A Cutting Garden.
Tuesday, Feb. 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., Kathy will teach the art of making a pretty nosegay. All materials will be provided to make a lovely bouquet.

Cranbury area seniors are invited by Senior Fellowship to enjoy the program, “Dishing With The Presidents” on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at noon in Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury.
The program also includes a soup lunch.
Program presenter Dan Calvi will display and discuss some of his collection of 400 presidential china plates. He will tell short stories about the presidents, their families and the foods that they liked to serve.
Dan also collects cook books with a presidential connection. He will take trivia questions and give prizes.

Senior Fellowship is a nondenominational social group open to all area seniors.

Cranbury School is registering children who will be 5 years old by Oct. 1 on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. and from noon to 2 p.m. in the school’s large group room.
Children do not need to attend.

The Cranbury Viking All Stars take on the Harlem Wizards on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m. in the school gym
Tickets for this fun family event are $8 in advance and $10 at the door for students and seniors. Adult tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Advance tickets can be purchased through the Cranbury PTO by leaving a message for the PTO at 609-395-1700, ext.332, or you may pick up an order form at the school office.
The Gourgaud Gallery’s February exhibit, “Art from the Heart V” features the A Team Artists of Trenton.
An opening reception will take place Saturday, Feb. 5, from 1 to 3 p.m. The exhibit will remain on display through the 27th.
Note the meet-the-artists reception is a Saturday this month.
The A Team artists return to the Gourgaud Gallery in the Town Hall in Cranbury with many new artists. Meet them and enjoy music performed by the FunkTASKtics band as well as poetry readings by members of the TASK community of artists. Food and refreshments will be served.
All artwork is for sale, and all proceeds will go directly to the artists of the A Team to support their work.
