David Perez, 43, of Princeton, was charged with criminal trespassing and harassment. At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a call of an unwanted person at a Clay Street residence. Mr. Perez was identified as the trespassing and arrested. He was released, pending court.
Jeffrey Detwiler, 49, of Fairfax, Virginia., was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to submit to a breath test. At 11:25 p.m. on Jan. 20, police observed a vehicle had struck a curb on University Place. Following a motor vehicle stop, the police identified that the driver, Mr. Detwiler, was intoxicated. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
Russell O’Rourke, 22, of Florence, Massachusetts, was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. At 10:16 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to an ambulance request for a medical emergency outside of Pyne Hall on the Princeton University campus. Mr. O’Rourke was found to be under the influence of marijuana. Later investigation found that he possessed under 50 grams of marijuana. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
Plainsboro
Police are investigating an identity theft that occurred on June 2, 2010. A 63-year-old resident of Plainsboro reported that an unknown person used his identity to open a phone account with Verizon in Jacksonville, Florida. He was notified by Diversified Consultants, a collection agency, on Jan. 21. Verizon hired Diversified Consultants to retrieve the unpaid balance of $2,515.10.
Police are investigating a theft that occurred between 7:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday. A student of Millstone River Elementary School reported that an unknown person stole an iPod from his jacket in the gym of the school during a basketball event. The value of the iPod is estimated at $320.
Montgomery
Barbara Reid, 52, of Lawrenceville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit breath samples, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving while uninsured, and for an open container of alcohol in her vehicle. At 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, police located Ms. Reid on Route 206 near Route 518, after a motorist reported she was driving erratically. Upon arrival, police arrested her after determining that she was intoxicated and took her to police headquarters, where she refused to submit samples of her breath for a blood alcohol content test. She was released, pending court.
Mark Pante, 22, of Belle Mead, was charged with failure to stop or yield. At 5:39 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Griggstown Road. Mr. Pante was traveling east when he entered the lane of Susie Chen, 36, of Hillsborough, who was traveling north. Ms. Chen collided with Mr. Pante’s car. Further investigation showed that Mr. Pante failed to stop at the intersection of Griggstown and Willow roads, police reported.
