Megan Goldschmidt, a 2009 graduate of Hillsborough High School, earned fall dean’s list honors at Ithaca (N.Y.) College, where she is a sophomore majoring in journalism with minors in history and legal studies. She is studying in London for the spring semester.
Two Hillsborough residents were named to the dean’s list for academic achievement for the fall semester at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa.
They are Stephanie M. Leifer, daughter of Paul and Lisa Leifer, and Tyler S. Szwarc, son of Henry and Deborah Szwarc. Both are 2007 graduates of Hillsborough High School.
A student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive recognition at Bucknell.
Katie L. Reddington of Hillsborough was named to the dean’s list and Jadelyn R. Denapoli and Melissa M. Martinez, both of Hillsborough, were named to the president’s list for the fall semester at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.
To qualify for the dean’s list, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade-point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade-point average.
To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and be enrolled full time.
Jessica Griswold of Hillsborough completed her first semester at University of Richmond (Va.) with a 3.92 GPA, majoring in chemistry. Jessica is also a cheerleader for the Spiders football and basketball teams. She is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma freshman honor society and will soon be initiated into the Kappa Kappa Kappa sorority.
April Thompson of Hillsborough has been accepted to the Graduate School at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
Ms. Thompson will major in mechanical engineering and pursue a doctorate of philosophy in the College of Engineering.
Keith Landon of Hillsborough was named to the dean’s list at Berkeley College for the summer quarter.
Students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum of 12 academic credits.
Freshman Erica M. Reiss, daughter of Arlene and Garry Reiss of Hillsborough, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.
Aleksander Rost of Hillsborough recently graduated from the Savannah (Georgia) College of Art and Design. Mr. Rost received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film and television.
Cadet Jeffrey Alan Pagano of Hillsborough achieved dean’s list status at The Citadel, the military college in Charlestown, S.C., for the fall semester.
Mr. Pagano is seeking a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
Recognition is given to cadets and active duty military students registered for 12 or more semester hours whose grade-point ratio is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C.
Mr. Pagano is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Pagano.
Erika Yurcisin of Hillsborough has earned dean’s list status for the fall semester at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.
