Santo Pezzutti at the CVA

 “Rain Forest” “Rain Forest” ‘H e is a painter’s painter,” said Sidney Godwin,

BrookdaleArt Department professor, referring to the aesthetic nuances of Santo Pezzutti’s works.

“His paintings are fascinating, full of delicate color passages,” said professor Edward Stein, Art Department chairman.

Through Pezzutti’s own words, we get a glimpse into how he is able to create with an original sensibility.

“Once the painting is started, I work with stream of consciousness, never striving for photographic realism, but instead, flowing with the dictates of design, color, texture and always respecting the nature of the medium.”

Pezzutti was born in the foothills of the Alps and came to America as a young boy. After graduating from high school, he received a full art scholarship and studied at theArt Students League in New York.

 “The Pink Table” “The Pink Table” He has been profiled in “Who’s Who in American Art.” His work has been lauded in two spheres of the art world. In addition to his work as a fine artist in watercolors and oils, he has been an executive art director with the Madison Avenue ad agency Dancer, Fitzgerald and Sample.

As a fine artist, Pezzutti has won the New Jersey Watercolor Society’s most prestigious award as well as many others from the Montclair Museum, The Monmouth Museum, Nabisco Galleries, The Summit Art Gallery International Show, AT&T and Central Galleries in New York. His paintings have been published in the national “Illustrator’s Annual” and “The Best of Watercolor.”
