Seminar for doctors on health records

BRANCHBURG – Raritan Valley Community College is partnering with the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center to provide area physicians with a free continuing medical education seminar on electronic health record implementation.
The seminar will be held today, Feb. 3, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the Conference Center (rooms A and B), at the college.
The event will focus on such topics as "Obtaining Medicare and Medicaid Financial Reimbursements for Meaningful Use Compliance," "EHR Vendor Selection Assistance," "Practice Readiness Assessment," "Workflow Redesign" and "Financing Opportunities and Advice."
The program also will cover the EHR implementation services available to physicians through NJ-HITEC.
The 90-minute presentation has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 1.5 prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
