LETTER OF THE EDITOR

Thanks are in order

Sandra Kay-Talifero, Bordentown
Let me begin with “yes” I have gone toe to toe, face to face and had many disagreements with these men, but I can say these men love Bordentown.
Bordentown City does owe a huge “Thank You” to two former mayors, Assemblyman Joseph Malone and Commissioner Zigmont Targonski and Public Works Supervisor Robert Erickson and his Public Works employees for the good job of removing the snow.
These men spent countless hours after hours and the weekend to remove the snow. “No” not all the streets were plowed more than one time, but they did still do a good job compared to most states and cities.
To the haters that complained that their street wasn’t plowed right away, let me remind them that these were the same men that during the storm in 2010 who had all the residents on the street move their cars and these men plowed the entire street clean down to the bare street and this was after working hours. “No” this wasn’t the street I live on.
When people do good deeds for others we should let them know. We should say thank-you and let them know they did a good job. As one of these men once told me, “Sometimes you have to stand back and be still to be heard.”
P.S. This was volunteered time on the good faith of Mr. Malone and Mr. Targonski
