People for Animals
It was a race to the very end – after all the donations were counted and online votes tallied, the grand prize winner is Ambyr Szablowski, student of Mrs. Lorraine Kozlowski, of Hillside High School in Hillside, New Jersey.
People For Animals sponsored this contest to help spread the word about their new free service.
The SPAY-NJ hotline (1-877-SPAY-NJ1) is a new FREE service to help NJ pet owners find affordable ways to get their pets fixed. The operators at SPAY-NJ are available weekdays from 10am-2pm to help New Jersey residents find low-cost spay and neuter services for their pets throughout NJ. Of course, the website can be accessed anytime at www.SpayNJ.org.
Ambyr’s logo received over $700 in donations – almost half of all the donations received in the contest, which raised over $1600 to support PFA’s new SpayNJ Hotline.
“We are so excited that the logo design winner was from our own town,” says Clinic Director, Jane Guillaume. “In a tough economy it was heart-warming to see so many take an interest in this contest and vote. Their generosity makes a difference in the plight of the animals across our state.”
People for Animals wishes to thank everyone who participated in the contest, whether it was voting by donation, encouraging students to create a logo or simply visiting the website and sharing information regarding its services – each gesture goes a long way in our fight for the humane treatment of companion animals..
