LIBRARY CORNER: Week of Feb. 10

   The Robbinsville branch of the Mercer County Library System will be having the following adult and children’s programs in February.
   Registration is required for all library programs unless otherwise noted. Call 609-259-2150.
Adult programs 
    • Tax help (February only): Volunteers from AARP will offer tax help from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 16 and 23.
   Appointments are every hour on the half-hour, with the last appointment at 12:30. Please bring last year’s completed forms.
   • Come to the History of Movies at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26.
   Kate Gallison will present an illustrated lecture on the early history of moving pictures, from Edison’s laboratory to arcade peep shows to the early attempts at serious cinema.
Children’s programs 
    Storytime registration begins on Monday, Feb 28.
   * Toddler storytime is a half-hour program for children ages 2 and 3, accompanied by an adult, Tuesdays at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., Wednesdays at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., or Thursdays at 10 a.m.
   * Preschool storytime is a half-hour program for children, ages 4 and 5, Tuesdays at 2 p.m. or Thursdays at 11 a.m.
   The session will begin Tuesday, March 8, and will run through Thursday, April 14.
   • Registration for Adventures in Art IV begins Monday, Feb 28.
   This six-week program, for children in grades four through six, will meet at 3:15 p.m. Mondays. Participants will examine a different art masterpiece each week and create their own work of art.
   • School-Age Storytime and Craft will be held at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17. This class is for children in grades kindergarten and up.
   • Drop in and create your own special valentine at our Valentine workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12.
   • Toddler Tunes will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25. This music program is for children of all ages accompanied by an adult.
   • Kids Movie Matinee — the Robbinsville Branch, MCLS, will be showing Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga’hoole (rated PG) at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22.
