The themes of the February show at the Art Alliance of Monmouth County in Red Bank are Black andWhite and Original Artists’ Books.
The show includes work by members and nonmembers of the Art Alliance.
The window artist is Katie Ann Stone, whose work is primarily concerned with the act of storytelling and narrative. She pulls from many different sources ranging from nature and the environment to pop-culture and media in order to develop a visual vocabulary.
Stone works in a broad range of mediums, including clay, encaustic, oil and pencil. A Red Bank resident, she teaches at the Creative Arts Center at the county’s Thompson Park in Middletown.
The Art Alliance is an all-volunteer co-op gallery dedicated to providing exhibition and studio space for area artists. Membership is open to all, and all media are represented. The gallery is located at 33 Monmouth St.
