County economic summit on March 16

"Making Connections," the 2011 Mercer County Economic Summit is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 16, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Conference Center at Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor.
The summit is being presented by Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes, the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Mercer County Office of Economic Development & Sustainability, in partnership with the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Workshops will include "The Digital Connection: The Race to Succeed in the Internet Age" and "The Human Connection: Bring Your Presentations to Life."
The speakers include Brian M. Hughes is the fourth person to serve as Mercer County Executive. He was elected in November 2003, becoming the first Democrat to hold the post in 24 years; Kim Guadagno, who was sworn in as New Jersey’s first lieutenant governor in January 2010; Bob Doll, blackrock’s chief equity strategist for fundamental equities, who is also the head of the US Large Cap Series equity team and has primary portfolio management responsibility for these products; Luke Tilley, a regional economic adviser with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. His responsibilities include working directly with the business and banking community.
