Peapack-Gladstone Bank employees recently teamed up with the American Heart Association for its National Wear Red Day campaign held on February 4, 2011. The mission? To promote awareness of the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke in women, by wearing red and collecting just $5.00 per person for the cause. Peapack-Gladstone Bank and PGB Trust & Investments employees donated a total of $425.00 to the American Heart Association and with a matching corporate donation; the bank proudly forwarded a grand total of $850.00 to the organization.
“Our lifestyle choices, including diet, exercise and regular checkups, all contribute to the prevention of heart disease,” said Peapack-Gladstone Bank Director of Human Resources, Bridget Walsh. “We strive to educate our staff and our communities with the knowledge to take action now and take care of their health.”
This year marks the 90th anniversary of Peapack-Gladstone Bank. Participating in Wear Red Day on behalf of the American Heart Association is just another way to continue the bank’s long tradition of volunteering time, effort and dollars to support the community-based organizations in which it does business.
