Solebury School seniors win awards

Each winter, Solebury School’s faculty recognizes outstanding seniors by presenting them each with a Founders Academic Award in four academic areas where they excel. Two additional awards are given in the areas of visual arts and performing arts.
The purpose of these awards is to honor the four founders and each of the disciplines they influenced and for the students, faculty and alumni to directly influence, shape and ensure a sound educational foundation for Solebury School.
Department heads nominate students to be selected by the faculty.
Students each receive a certificate and $250 to purchase items for the academic department. Their names are added to permanent plaques in the Boyd Dining Hall and in the theater.
The award recipients include:
– Claudia Keep, of New Hope, and Renan Pedersen, of Lambertville – Laurie Y. Erskine Award for Literature.
– Claudia Keep, of New Hope, and Yiorgos Georgeson, of Lambertville – Julian L. Lathrop Award for Social Studies.
