Toy Trains in Action will be on display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Knights of Columbus, 70 E. Main St., Freehold. Admission is nonperishable food or a monetary donation to benefit the Freehold Open Door food pantry. There will be operating toy train layouts and displays, with toy trains and accessories dating from the late 1800s to today. “The 15-Minute Child Break” will be presented by the Manalapan-Englishtown Community Alliance for the Prevention of Alcohol and Drug Abuse at 6 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Manalapan Senior Center, 211 Route 522. The one-hour presentation will cover: talking to children about drugs, the influence of media and pop culture, effects of specific drugs, keeping children drug free, strengthening parenting skills, and using teachable moments.
