The Northern Burlington High and Bordentown High wrestling teams both reached the sectional final before falling last Friday night.
In Central Jersey Group II, Northern Burlington dropped a 43-13 decision at Long Branch in the sectional final. The Greyhounds, who fell to 17-5, picked up wins from John Ferrell at 112, Harley Palyok at 152, Chase Potocny at 171 and Cody Melton at heavyweight.
In Central Jersey Group I, Bordentown dropped a 37-25 decision to Roselle Park in the sectional final. The Scotties, who fell to 23-6, picked up wins from Brandon Mazur at 125, Alex Rizzo at 130, Shawn Gavin at 135, Shalid Shakir at 160 and Matt Bauer at 215. Rizzo, Shakir and Bauer recorded pins in the loss.
Bordentown, which won the BCSL Patriot Division title, bounced back on Saturday to post wins over Moorestown, Riveraide and Palmyra on Senior Day.
Both teams will wrestle in the district tournament this weekend.
