Friday, Feb. 25 – New Egypt Elks will hold their monthly family buffet dinner, "A Night Out in Italy," from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elks Lodge 2457, 105 Lakewood Road (Route 528).

‘Code in the Quilt’
Monday, Feb. 28 – The Plumsted Branch of the Ocean County Library will present "Code in the Quilt: Celebrating African-Americans in the Civil War" for ages 6-12 at 4 p.m.

Saturday, March 5 – Plumsted Township’s Trap-Neuter-Return program for homeless cats will hold its first Seaside Dinner Buffet from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at Marlin’s Seaside Cafe, 1901 Ocean Ave. (Route 35), Point Pleasant Beach.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and include all-you-can-eat dinner buffet. There will be a DJ, raffles, tricky tray and cash bar with all-night drink specials. For tickets, call 908-875-6742 or e-mail [email protected].

Soup sale for Ranch Hope
Saturday, March 12 – A soup sale/lunch/flea market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Allentown United Methodist Church, 23 Church St., Allentown.
Homemade soup by the quart to go at $5.50. All proceeds benefit Ranch Hope Inc., a nonprofit organization helping teens. For more information, call 609-758-7272.

Parade fundraiser – The Robbinsville Irish Heritage Association announces that starting March 1, special "Irish" green hair extensions will be available from the Hair It Is salon in Foxmoor Shopping Center.
The extensions are available for a donation of $10 and will directly benefit Robbinsville Township’s second annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, planned for March 19. The extensions are a non-permanent way to show your Irish spirit.

Free tax services for seniors – Free tax return services for senior citizens are available at the Plumsted Branch of the Ocean County Library, 119 Evergreen Road, on Wednesdays through April 13, between 1 and 5 p.m. by appointment only.

Good Neighbor Fund – The Allentown Good Neighbor Fund assists area residents with emergency needs such as utility, rent and medical bills.

Plumsted TNR Committee – Join the Plumsted Trap, Neuter and Return Committee every Sunday from 7 to 10 a.m. at the New Egypt Flea Market, 933 Route 536, New Egypt.
MOMS Club of Upper Freehold/Allentown – This club holds its monthly meetings the first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St.
The club offers low- or no-cost monthly calendar events for all age groups that include day trips, play groups, clubs, community service projects and MOMS Night Out.
The public is welcome to come meet the club members and learn about the international, nonprofit organization that offers local, stay-at-home and part-time working moms support and the opportunity to share activities and experiences with other local moms and their children.
