MCC cooking classes prices reduced

In order to make cooking classes at Middlesex County College, 2600 Woodbridge Ave., Edison, more accessible, prices have been discounted. Each class is now $25, and only $10 for students. The series started in January with Jeff McNamara, chef at the Skylark Diner, who was recently promoted to president of Americana Hospitality.

The classes are held in the new demonstration kitchen in Crabiel Hall and include a tasting and copies of the recipes. Each class is one evening and runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Classes include Italian Home Cooking with cookbook author Julia Della Croce; hearthealthy and low-salt meals with registered dietician Anthony Dissen; chocolate making with Diane Pinder, chocolatier extraordinaire; meal preparation on a budget; grilling; cake decorating; cooking for Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day, plus many others.
